THE DAWN HORSE PRESS invites you to an evening of conversation, presentation, personal testimonies, and refreshment to benefit the ongoing publication of Avatar Adi Da's Wisdom. The evening will feature:

  • Watch a video discourse by Adi Da Samraj. On July 28, 2004, Avatar Adi Da Samraj initiated a series of occasions ("Avataric Discourses" or "Adidam Revelation Discourses") at His Hermitage Sanctuary in Fiji, in which He addressed questions from His devotees. He invited all His devotees from around the world to participate in these occasions via telephone and Internet broadcast. He would travel to California to continue giving these Discourses at The Mountain Of Attention. He would continue giving these Discourses (that responded to devotees' questions) through October 6, 2005.

  • Listen to stories about serving the publication of Adi Da's Divine Wisdom. Speakers will include Jonathan Condit, Senior Editorial Assistant to Adi Da Samraj, and Megan Anderson, Dawn Horse Press Editorial Manager. Adi Da worked very directly with both Jonathan and Megan over the many years of their service to His Word. They offer an intimate view of the process of serving the protection and publication of His Teaching.

  • Peruse our book table. Avatar Adi Da has produced a vast body of Wisdom-Literature that addresses literally every aspect of human, Spiritual, and Divine life. The Dawn Horse Press has been publishing Avatar Adi Da’s Reality-Teaching since 1972, and we know that His Work is deeply valued by many. Yet there is much, much more to do — many critical Works by Adi Da Samraj still need to be published, both audio-visual and written, in both printed and digital forms. We also need funding to reach out to those who have never been given the opportunity to be touched by His Divine Word. About the Dawn Horse Press

In the spring of 1970, Avatar Adi Da had a vision that He understood as a sign of the future manifestation of His own Work in the world. He witnessed a gathering in which an Adept was demonstrating the spiritual art of materialization.

At some point, though nothing had yet appeared, everyone except the Adept seemed satisfied and left the room. It was only then that a small, perfectly formed horse materialized.

In 1984, Avatar Adi Da spoke about this vision:


I was at once the Adept who performed the miracle of manifesting the horse, and I was the one who was party to the observation of it and its result. And I did not have any feeling of being different from the horse itself. I was making the horse, I was observing the horse, and I was being the horse.

Avatar Adi Da named the horse of His vision the "Dawn Horse", explaining that it was a sign of His Work and Person taking form in and as the conditional universe. And it became a symbol for His Life and Work altogether as the Coinciding of the Divine Reality and the conditional worlds.

Founded in 1972 by Avatar Adi Da, THE DAWN HORSE PRESS was one of the earliest means Adi Da established for extending His Work into the world. And its name, given by Adi Da Himself, indicates the significant intention He had for its work.
